LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,— May I thank you all for the kindness I have received at your hands during the time it has been my delight to serve you on the Town Council. I regret that owing to illness I was prevented from attending here earlier to personally canvass you for votes, thus many misapprehensions arose as to my attitude TOWJWDS you. I bad but tWG days in which to try and call upon 1,734 Electors resident throughout the whole of the town, a task which was obviously impossible. Notwithstanding this my friends rallied round me so that I have obtained at the poll a very strong proof that you appreciated and desired my services. The younger electors and those who by recent residence .are unfamiliar with my personal record and the work I have done in Aberyetwyth, somewhat naturally saw no reason to support one whom they did not well know. Assuring you of my desire to still promote the interests of the whole town with which I trust I may be always associated. I am, Ladies and Gentlemen, Yours faithfully, G. CROYDON MARKS. Aberystwyth, November 1st, 1900. TO THE ELECTORS OF THE CASTLE WARD OF THE BOROUGH OF OSWESTRY. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,— Accept my best thanks for electing me as your representative on the Town Council. More especially do I thank you for the honour vou have done me, as I did not personally canvass a single elector. It will be my endeavour to do all I can for the interests of the Town.
