(APPLICATION for additional provision con- tinuance of common rights, sheep washing, drinking places for cattle, bye-laws for pro- tection of Waterworks and prevention of pollution of waters, public recreation over commons and unenolosed lands, amendment and incorporation of Acts.) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that application is intended to be made to Parliament forthwith by the Mayor, Aldermen, and Citizens of the City of Birmingham, by way of Petition, for additional provision, for the insertion in a Bill now pending in the House of Commons, under the above name or short title of clauses for carrying into effect the purposes, or some of the purposes following, that is to say To make provision for the preservation or con- tinuance of common and commonable rights in er over lands (or some of them), intended to be pur- chased or acquired by the Corporation for the purposes of the Bill, situate in the Parishes and Counties hereinafter mentioned, or some of them, subject nevertheless to such restrictions, bye-laws, and regulations as may be prescribed or authorized by the Bill. To authorize the Corporation to prw, £ the washing of sheep in any waters which the Corp*?- tion may be authorized to impound or take under the Bill, and to empower the Corporation to provide substituted washing places. To authorize the Corporation to provide suitable drinking places for cattle, sheep, and horses, in case it may be necessary to interfere with any existing drinking places. To empower the Corporation to make bye-laws with respect to any common or unenclosed land acquired by them for the protection of their water- works, and for prevention of pollution of the waters intended to be collected, diverted, or impounded, and particularly to regulate the time, place, and mode of digging and takmg turf, and the cutting of heather bracken or gorse, for the regulation of recreation and the assemblage of persons, and generally for the prevention of nuisance, and of any Act or thing tending to the pollution of the waters intended to be collected, diverted, or impounded by the Corporation, or to the injury of their waterworks, and to apply Sections 182 to 186 of the Public Health Act, 1875, with or without amendment to such bye-laws (but substituting the Board of Agriculture for the Local Government Board), or to make such other provisions as may be deemed expedient in regard to the making, alteration, or repeal of bye-laws, and the enforcement thereof. To make provision for the payment of compensa- tion to Commoners, or other persons injuriously affected by the Bill or any bye-laws made there. under, and to make provision with regard to the purchase of sheep settled or depastured on any lands acquired by the Corporation. To confer on the publio a privilege of enjoying air pxercise and recreation on all or some pa.rts ot any common or unenclosed lands acquired by the Corporation, subject to such restrictions and bye- laws as may be prescribed or authorized by the Bill. The lands to which the foregoing provisions of this notice are intended to apply are situate in the Parish of Llangurig, in the County of Montgomery, the Parishes of Gwnnws, Yspytty-Ystwyth, and Caron-Uwch-Clawdd, in the County of Cardigan, the Parish of Llanwrthwl, in the County of Breck- nook, and the Pariah of Llansantffraid-Owmdeaddwr, in the County of Radnor, or some of such Parishes.
