Last Monday, with startling sudden- ness, the death took place of Mr Richard Lewis (or as be was better known, Richie), of 1, Aelydon, Barmouth, at the age of thirty-three years. The deceased was the son of the late Captain Lewis of the s.s. Dora and Mrs Lewis. After the death of his mother, Richie made his home with his uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs Owen Williams, 1, Aelydon. i He was of a loveable disposition and a great favourite wherever he went. He took the keenest interest in Caersalem Chapel and was most faithful and constant in his attendance at all the meetings held in the chapel, and took the keenest interest in the Sunday School. His genial face and pleasant smile will be greatly missed in Barmoutb. He leaves two sisters, two brothers and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn after him. Deafb of IHr. Edward Joiks, lup Cottage. After a long and lingering illness, the death took place on Tuesday morning of Mr Edward Jones, Ivy Cottage, at the early age of twenty-two years. Deceased was very popular aud well- liked by his many friends, and be will be greatly missed by his comrades, especially so with the Barmouthians who are with the Colours. I Death of fUr. Edward hughes. Sea View. It is with deep regret we have to announce the death of 1\11 Edward Hughes, gardener, of 4, Sea View, which took place on Friday last, at the age of I' eighty-two years. Deceased bad, the previous Sunday attended the services at the Siloam Congregational Chapel, I where he was a faithful member, and was only ailing for three days He was highly respeoted, and well liked by a large circle of friends. He was well versed in the Scriptures, and had read a good deal in his vounger days. The funeral, which was private, took place at Llanaber on Tuesday last. Mr Richard Roberts, Ivy House, carried out the duties of undertaker. Much sympathy is extended to Mrs Betiteley (daughter), and other members of the family in their sad bereavement.

Billiards. The Pavilion Billiard Saloon will re-open on Monday next. Presentation—We are requested to announce that. the presentation, sub- scribed to by the local Church people,to the Rev. Henry Williams on the ocoasion of his marriage, will take place at the Church Hall on Tuesday evening next,at 7-30 An interesting programme, has been arranged. Easter Monday Attraction.—We hear that some members of the Barmouth Male yoice Choir have very kindly con- sented to sing at the concert and entertainment, in aid of the Local Red Cross Fund, on Easter Monday next at the Assembly Rooms, and Mr Stanley Jones will also contribute to the pro- gramme. The plan of the reserved 2s. seats, for those who desire to reserve their seats, can be consulted and seats secured on Saturday next at the Library on application to Mrs Jones. Red Cross Committee.—The last meeting (for the present) took place last Tuesday. Amongst the things handed in were the following :—2 flannel shirts, 1 pair pyjamas, 10 pairs socks, 2 scarves. Many of the Committee took away work and wool to make up in their leisure hours during the time there will be no meetings. In the next fortnight there will appear a full list of all the garments made by the Committee since last August. Itj was proposed that a letter should be sent to Mr Francis Morris, thanking him very much for the use of the room, which he so generously placed at the disposal of the Sewing Committee, There will be due notice of the re-commencement of the meetings in the Advertiser.
