Under Lean to Shed, Quantity of Wood Particulars of pitchpine timber belonging to Firm situate at Bontcldu, inid-way between Barmouth and Dolgelley, on the site of the St. David's Gold Mine. The Gold Mine has been dismantled. The machinery and acces- sories were purchased by Maden & Mackee, Machinery Dealers, Liverpool. Maden and Mackee in turn sold to Lloyd & Williams the timber used in connection with the foundation and support of the machinery, for which Lloyd & Williams paid them about £60, viz., £ 40 and £2J. The pitchpine timber is comprised in 4 batteries, each battery containing 10 logs or 12 cubic feet each, total in each battery 120 cubic feet, the total measurement of timber in the 4 batteries thus being 480 cubic feet. At the present time pitchpine timber in Liverpool costs 2/6 per cubic foot. The timber is of splendid quality. The panelling of the stairs at Mr Sbarley's Bungalow, Llanaber, recently erected by Lloyd & Williams, was made from the Bonc- ddu timber, The principal portion of the timber is embedded in the concrete foundations which supported the machinery. It is estimated that it will cost X4 per battery to get the timber out, total for the 4 batteries £ 16. The eartage from Bontddu to Barmouth would be 8 per ton. Each battery comprises 4 tons of timber; total (four batteries) 16 tons at 8s. per ton (j 8 0 Add labour, and helping to load say 10 0 R7 8 0 The value of the timber to Messrs Lloyd and Williams is thus as follows: 4 4 batteries, 120 bubie feet each, total 480 feet at 2/6 60 0 0 Less cost of getting timber concrete at £4 per batteery 16 0 0 Cartage to Barmouth, 16 tons at 8/- per ton 6 8 0 Labour, man to assist with loading 1 0 0-23 8 0 £ 37 8 0 Don't Forget ST.
