CAMBRIAN RESORTS ASSOCIATION.
CAMBRIAN RESORTS ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the proprietors of the Cambrian Resorts Association was held at the Corsygedol Hotel, Bar- mouth, on Thursday afternoon, Mr S. Williamson, general manager of the Cambrian Railways Company presided. Mr Robert Owen, Harleeb, wrote that while Harlech fully appreciated the good work of the Association, they were unable to take shares this year owing to the heavy burdens already imposed on the ratepaveis, The views of the delegates as to the continuance of the Association were then taken. Mr Barclay Jenkins said the Aber- ystwyth Town Council had unanimously agreed to take the same number of shares as before— £ 40. Mr Toleman, Pwllheli, Raid the adver- tising committee there felt that they couid not spend iCl5 as usual, but would subscribe t5 a year. The Rev. Gwynoro Davies, Barmouth, said that his committee could not bind themselves for any long period, but were prepared to spend £ 20. Mr J. 0. Hughes, Portmadoc, said be cou'd give no definite undertaking. Mr John Lumley, Machynlleth, said be was in a similar position. Mr O'Sullivan, Corris Railway, and Mr Vaughan, Festiniog Railway, said their Companies would give the same support as in previous years. Mr R. M. Williams, Criccietb, and Mr 'Till, Beddgelert, were unable to give definite promises. Mr Williamson said be realised the difficulty the various resorts had in de- ciding what to do at present, but he felt that. it was best to continue the Association even on restricted lines, for if they did not go forward they would go backward. He thought the best way I to proceed was to sanction increasing the capital to £ 2,000. His Company had decided to subscribe pouud for pound as before. The following directors were appoin- tee] .—The Rev. Gwynoro Davies, Mr S. Williamson, Mr W. H. Williams, Mr Ken rick Minshall, Mr Richard Rarnett, Mr Richard Newell, Mr E. P. Wynne, and Mr Cornelius Roberts. I Mr W. H. Williams, Oswestry, was re-appointed hon' secretary. An extraordinary general meeting of 1, the Association was held later, when it was agree to sanction the increasing of the share capital by £ 2,0C0. On the motion of the Rev. Gwynoro Davies, it was agreed to urge the rail- way companies to resume the issuing of cheap tickets.
A SERIOUS TALK ON A SERIOUS…
A SERIOUS TALK ON A SERIOUS QUESTION. When getting over a cold, fever, or ill- cess of any kind, be careful to guard your kidneys against a breakdown. Every day thousands are recovering from one disease or another, and it's while convalescing that great care is needed to avoid falling into the clutches of kidney trouble. The kidneys, when in health, are the hardest worked organs in the body. No wonder that when the blood is loaded with uric acid poisons and work of the kidneys is doubled, that they break down. Kidney weakness follows as night the day. After influenza, pneumonia, fevers and even ordinary colds watch for kidney trouble, and don't neglect such signs as backache, headache, dizziness, nervous trouble, and that dull. tired feeling, no how unimportant they appear to you. Your kidneys will need help for a while. There is nothing more soothing, nothing better than Doan's backache kidney pills. This medicine is for the kidneys and bladder only, and has no action on the bowels. With the tempor- ary assistance of Doan's pills, care as to diet, more rest and sleep and exercise in the oyen air, you can soon get back to normal. Everyone reading this frank state- ment will understand why so many in Barmoutb have confidence in Doan's backache kidney pille.
