WITH ONE VOICE Barmouth People Agree on an Alf-irnportitnt Poiab j The voioe of the people is board all over-the country. Barmouth has joined in the general proclamation. Towns- people speak out earnestly and plainly. This week another Barmouth woman gives a statement and personal proof of what Doan's Pills have done for her. On February 4th. 1914, Mca E. Owen, cf Tanyddinae, Barmouth, said:— My back was so bad some time ago that I could hardly stand upright, and when in bed could, not rest for the pain across the small of my back. I bad rheumatism in my arms and suffered, too, with attacks of diazineaa and headaches. The kidney system was quite wrong; painful and soalding in relief. "I bad read about Doan's backache kidney pills so I sent for a box, and was very glad to find that they did me a great deal of good. I had tried other things but nothing seemed to oase me before taking these pills. I am pleased to say I am very much better now, and not troubled as I was. Doan's pills will always have a good word from me. (Signed) u E. Owen." On February 7th. 1916-two yean latei--Mrs Owen said :—" I am keeping very well, I am pleased to say. Doan's piUs cured me of my backache and have kept me well since." Rheumatism is stiffness and pain in the joints or muscles, which may be tender, sore, and a little swollen. It is due to a poisoned state of the blood, in which there is a great excess of uric acid. Doan's backache kidney pills help the kidneys to filter the uric acid out of the blood, and thus reach the actual cause of the rheumatism. Price 2/9 a box, of all dealers or trom Foster McClellan Co., 3, Wells Street, Oxford Street, London, W. Don't ask for backache or kidney pills,-ask distinctly for Doan 's backache kidney pills, the same as Mrs Owen had.

(chairman of the Guardians), and Mr William Owen, Craigmynacb. The Barmouth Over- seers were represented by Mr David O. Hughes, Market Stores, and Councillor John Roberts, Ripon House. It was reported that there were 700 empty houses in Blaenau Festiniog, and a strong case was made out for a revalu- ation of the county. Owing to the number of empty houses in Barmouth it means a loss of iC-700 in the rateable value. NATIONAL WAR MUSEUM.—The Committee of the National War Museum are anxious. to make, as far as possible, a complete record of the War in Photographs which should be of permanent and historic value for all time. In this Section it is considered very desirable to include Photographs of all Officers and Men who have given their lives, or who have received I; Honours and Decorations during the present War. The Committee of the National War Museum, therefore, appeal to the friends and relations of Officers and Men in both services for such. Photographs should be per- manenb prints (bromide) unmounted. Size not larger than 10x8. On the back of the Photographs should be written in pencil the name, regiment (or ship), rank, date of death, or decorations, etc. Photographs and communications should be sent to The Secretary, National War Museum, H. M. Office of Works, Westminster, S.W. 1. SOIREE.- -The Ladies Visiting Com- mittee of the County School have arranged to hold a social evening at the School on Friday, November 23rd. Many of our readers are no doubt aware I I that this Committee has in the past I' done much for education in Barmouth by providing a-furid for helping deserv- ing Barmoutb children with their education, and for enhancing the use- fulness of the school in other ways. This fund is now exhausted; and the Committee feels that it is in hftrmony with the national movement for better education to replenish the fund by means of a soiree. Tha meeting will j also help to bring the school into still I closer touch with the parents and other friends of education in Burmoutb. Only light aod plain refreshments will 1 be provided, and the Committee has made every provision agaitssb the possibility of any of food. A varied and interesting ptogramme will be provided, which, it is hoped, will help a little to carry out Lord Derby's desire that we L; b desire that we should keep our spirits up to back up the cheerful faces at the front.
