This young choir is well-known in eisteddiodic circles, and it has a reputation in the competive arena which the locality I feel proud of, but on this occgsion their efforts were directed towards financially supporting Newtown and Llechryd Soldiers' and Sailors' Fund, and it was not, surprising to find the Old School, Newtown, crowded on both evenings. On Tuesday, the chair was occupied by Mr W. S. Davies, Rhymney Bridge, and on Wednesday evening (in the unavoid- able absence of Mr J Penry W illi. mR) ,N by Mr Jenkiu D-vaios, Llechryd, &v>th gentlemen did their duties in a l sa^t creditable manner. I X-rays Disclose Large Stone. Doan's Pills Disperse It. T have been spared an operation A which might have endangered my life, said Mr C. W. Mayne, of 55, Portman Road, Boscombe, Bournemouth.
