SWANSEA CUSTOMS OFFICIAL. I PROMOTION FOR MR. ARTHUR SAUNDERS. It is announced that Mr. Arthur C. Saunders, the collector of Customs at Swansea, has been transferred as inspec- tor to the chief inspector's office, Thames- street, London. He will be succeeded by Mr. Arthur R. Dawson, who will be collector both at Cambrian-place and Dynevor-place, the two departments being combined under one collector instead of two as at present. Mr. Saunders has been at Swansea for five years, and during the last twenty years has been in charge at Ipswich, Lon- donderry and Lowestoft, and previous to that he was second officer at Inverness, where he was paymaster to H.M.S. Bril- liant. During the last eighteen months he has held the office of librarian to the Royal Instiution of South Wales.
