SAT IN THE SAME CHAIR. MORE EVIDENCE IN GORDON DIVORCE SUIT. The matrimonial relations of Mr Chas. Ed. Grant Gordon, of Burgess Hill, and his wife, Mrs. Emma Gordon, of Maiden- head, were further investigated in the Divorce Court on Thursday. Mrs. Gordon seeks restitution of con- jugal rights, and Mr. Gordon claims a divorce, alleging that his wife committed adultery with a Mr. Luce, junior, which was denied. A chambermaid at a hydro at Burgess Hill, cross-examined, now said she did not see Mr. Luce leave Mrs. Gordon's bedroom. She heard him come down- stairs. Two other servants at the hotel also gave evidence. One stated that Mrs. Gordon and Mr. Luce appeared to be on very intimate terms. They sat close to- gether on a seat in the garden every day. Evidence was given that they sat up sometimes till two o'clock in the morning. and called each other by endearing terms. A former head waiter said he saw them both sitting in the same easy chair. Mrs. Gordon had her arm round Mr. Luce ?, neck.
