FOWL PECKED HER. STRANGE CAUSE OF DEATH IN VALLEY. An old lady, named Mrs. Margaret Daviest )Jf\"t, known locally as Margcd John (J of,- gurwen, came to her death through a trivial cause. Some few days previously she had been peeked on the hand by one of her fowls. No notice was taken of the incident at tha time, for the old lady almosw always had her. hands and arm;, covered with scratches re- ceived whilst handling the fowls. But blood poisoning developed in a couple of days, and despite the best attention death took place as shepherd manages his sheep. Deceased was a Belgian lady, the wife of the chief engineer of the s.s. Henri Gerlingcr, which frequently trades to Swansea. She was only Z8 years of age, an dwas found dead in bed with her two litlc girJ. one aged four years and the other seven years, lying asleep beside her. The disco very was made by Mrs. Williami, the deepjised's landlady.
