Perhaps they had not done as much as they j might have. but they had done -something of benefit to the town. The P!ate Gtas.s Mutual Assurance is ..stif) going strong, and the premiums have been re- duced by 7;) per cent. The report of the Prisoners o: War Committee shows that nearly £iO has been coHect- ed and expended in parcels. In November the Chamber was invited to frame a. L-cheme for reduction and co- crdination of transport.
