A juror suggested that the Coroner sl-xuld censure tJio father for allowing loaded rifles to be left lying about in the rsngo, and also leaving only a young girl in. charge The Coroner replied that he conkl cen- sure the man, but he should think that own conscience would censure him much mow efficiently than he (the. Ccroner) could. The jury returned a verdict of U Acci- dental Death."

In his final report he takes advantage of the opportunity to thank the managers and the clerk for the kind consideration always manifested towards him and the trust reposed in him. It is," he added, a pleasure to reflect that there has never been the slightest friction between us. Members spoke in high terms of the ser- vices rendered by Mr. Morgan during his long period as headmaster. It was re),ted that the school trould be closed on October 7 and 8 on the occa- sion of a public tea on the termination of Mr. Morgan's headmastership. Mr. Morgan is to be presented with an ad- dress and a purse of gold.

SHOCKING HOLYWELL TRAGEDY I A shocking tragedy came to light on Thursday at Holywell. The police were called to the house of a eoldier, who was found stretched out on the floor with his throat cut, j whilst his wife was lying dead on the br-d. apparently poisoned. The man was alive, but died on the way to the hospital. The woman had been dead some hours. TilPre are three children, and one of them uiude the discovery.

LLANELLY ALIEN CASE I At the Llanelly Police Court on Wed- nesday five persons were summoned for offences under the Aliens Restriction Order. Jeremiah Griffiths was proceeded against not keeping a register for the registra- tion of aliens.—The caee was dismissed on payment of oe. 6d. costs. Thos. Thomas, 50, Andrew-street; Wm. Griiliths, 47, Andrew-street; and Joseph Sullivan, Andrew-terrace, were each sum- moned for failing to enter in a register th.3 names of aliens staying at their houses. Thoma-s was and the other two cases were dismissed.

A BOGUS D.S.O. Charles John Soden, a nrakesman, who I is alleged to have committed various thefts while posing a6 a major in the Army, was charged on remand at Mary- lebone on Thursday with stealing a suit, case and contents, valued at Paddington Station. Accused was also further charged with the theft of binocu- lars, etc., and with wearing an officer's uniform. Prisoner at first expressed a wish that the (-,a,-e might go for trial, but altered his decision and elected to be dealt with summarily. He was sent to prison for three months and six months respectively on two charges of theft, and for three months for wearing tbe uniform: the sen- tences to run consecutively, making in all a year's imprisonment with hard labour.
