Councillor Roberts returned half the value of the tankard to the fund. At Monday's Council meeting it was re- ported that the secretary of the Steel Works had replied that it appeared to them to, be a matter for' the attention of the District Counail. lie added, how- ever. that the company would give any assistance they could.
