This visit to the London specialist about which many have dreamed is no longer necessary. The specialist is coming to them. It is a recognized fact that over 50 per cent. of the population of our large industrial centres suffer from defective vision in one way or another- and the percentage in Llanelly is higher than in many large towns. The close work in the factory, workshop, and office-the straining of the eyes over the desk or work-table, frequently in a bad light—result sooner or later in an urgent need for glasses.
