SWANSEA BOY'S SUCCESS. Included in the list of successful can- i didates in the University of London Inter ii.sc., 1919, was Mr. G. P. Davies, of the SA^ans^a Grammar School, who was for- merly an old Municipal Secondary -School boy, and has succeeded in taking this ex- am ination when in Us 16th year.

Favoured with glorious weather, the first after-war show of the Uuited Counties Agricultural Society, held at the Park, Carmarthen, on Thursday was another success added to the long list of achievements of this Society, which em- braces the three counties of Carmarthen, Pembroke and Cardigan, Among the exhibitors were Earl Cawdor. HOSPITAL SUICIDE. ——— Neath Ex-Soldier's Act at Tenby. An inquest was held at Tenby on Wed- nesday upon David Mort, a discharged soldier, of Neath, who died at the St. John Hospital, Tenby, on the previous day. Mort., who was admitted to the TT-aspital i oh July 31st, slept in a ward at the top floor of the building. Early on Tuesday morning, shortly after Miss Janet Jones, the night sister, had visited the ward on her rounds, Robert Roberts, w ho was sleeping in the same ward as Mort, was awakened by a noise, and he saw Mort's body disappearing through the window. lie was pickod up in the area of the He was picked up in the area of the basement, and when examined by Dr. Knowling was found to have fracturod the base of the skull; the left thigh, left forearm, and a rib on the right side were broken, and the cheek was torn through He was unconscious and died later in the day.
