The deceased Tvas I a thorough practical farmer, and held in high evsteem by those of his profession for miles around. He was a faithful member of Brynteg Chapei, and leaves, a widow and four young children. The chief mourners were: The widow and four children, Mrs. A. T. Lloyd 'Three Crosses), and E. G. Davies (Dunvant). There were many floral tributes. Interesting meeting were held at the fcbenezer (Welsh) Congregational Chapel, Ucreelnon, c-n Sunday last. The morning service took the form of a thanksgiving I meeting for the return of so many of the J boys, while in the evening a reception ser- I vice Was held. William end Walter James and Son, F.A.I., auctioneer, Llandovery. ilan- gauock, Llandilo, and Swarwe-a, held their fortnightly mart of fat cattle, sheep, lamb* calves, and pigs at the Llandilo Urban Die- trict Council Auction Mart on Monday. The re was a scarcity of fat cattle, only, e ght being graded. Fat sheep and lambe cko gladed and sola at controlled prices were fairly plentiful. 1JO calves sold at prices ranging from 25-i. to jE6 10s. There were about 400 pigs, wetinors fetching up to £4 1., and s-torers to £ 6 a-piece. Thews were net so brisk as last mart. Store eheep, i —of which there were a good number-* fetched up to £ 7 10s. a couplo.
