CONCENTRATED FLUID EXTRACT OF JAMAICA SARSAPARILLA. THE experience of many years has fully Test,,tblished the reputation of this p,u ticular pre- MMtinn as containing more of the virtues of the root from which it is procured than the decoction made in the ordiuarv way over a fire. It is well known that Sarsapairlla sweetens the blood, improves a bad habit of the body, and by giving the eu- taneous vessels a regular action removes disposition to Erysipelatous inflamation, and thoso affections resem- bling it, from which so nwny persons periodically Buffer; and that it also frees the system from what may be term- ed the sequels of a mercurial course. When taken in the Spring and fall of the year as an alterative median, it will be found to impart that stamina to the constitu- tion, which is indicated by firmness of flesh, regula- rity of appetite, and freshness of complexion. LLANFAIRFECHAN. I This favorite little watering place is now rapidly fill- ing with distinguished guests from all parts of England, and reading parties from the Universities. The whole aspect of the place, owing to the enterpriaing mind of J. Platt, Esq, Brynyneuadd, and to the energy of a few individuals who cater for visitors, has changed during the last few years—unsightly buildings have disappeared, roads have been widened and improved, huti have been cleared off, and handsome villas have been erected on the estate of R. Luck, Esq., Plas Llanfair. But the greatest improvement, whieh had long been a desideratum, is a bomtiful supply of excellent, sparMing water. This is procured from a reservoir, made a little below the upper bridge, where there is an abundant supply percolating through a gravel bed-a natural filterer. From this re- servoir, which is capable of containing 4000 gallons, ii on pipes are laid down along the river, and brought down so as to accommodate all the houses on the Penmaen- mawr road, Mona View, Sea View, Menai View. Plas Gwyn, Glan Menai, Maes Gwyn, and the other villas, extending as far as the new hotel, now in course of erec- tion. We understand that the new church, built by J. Platt, Esq., is rapidly drawing towards its completion, and that it will be opened sometime in the course of July. This church is decorated with elaborate oak car- vings, screens, canopies, &c. &c., and will, no doubt, be a great attraction and blessing to visitors, as well as re sidents. The only danger is that the place will be over- filled, and destroy that quiet which most of the visitors like so much.
