Tfcis Company is formed for the purpose of purchasing the Spitzkop Farm or Estate, and the Mining Concession, for developing and working the gold mines and mineral deposits upon the aid estate, which covers ti-n aretl of more than 10 square mile's, and is situate in the famous Lydenburg gold district, South African Repub ic and for the purpose of hereafter disposing of por- tions thereof to subsidiary companies or to individuals. It will be seon from the reports of Rowland J. Atcherley, Esq.. Ph. D., F.C.S., London, Geologist and Mining Engineer, and of J: E. Glinister, Esq., formerly Government Gold Commissioner of this district, and from the report of W. H, Pascoe, Esq., a well-known Mining Engineer, who has recently examined the property, that the value of the pro- perty has already been proved by extensive pro- specting, with results that seem to show that nothing but modern machinery is now required to make this property, which in fact may almost be called a going concern, among the most remune- rative of goldfields. Dr. Rowland J. Atcherley say, I In the entirg district of the Lydenburg Gold Fields, the farm' Spitzkop' is pre.eminently known and recognised as a most valuable gold pro- ducing property." SPITZKOP (LYDEKBURG) GOLD MINING S COMPANY (Limited). MrGtiniatera?o certifies that the rich quartz bearing leaders on this property have been discovered and worked with great results, as is evidenced by the rich specimens found and the large quantities 01 gold hearing quartz now on the surface reany for crushing, work upon which is only suspended for want of crushing machinery, and that the rotten reefs rich in fine gold are now being worked. The value of the alluvial deposits, Mr Pascoe reports that in one part, McLachland's Gulch, an outlay of £1500 would render available for liydraulicking a tract of land more than two miles, long and seventy-live yards wide. The auriferous quartz, and especially i he -1 1 ottert reefs," lire de. I pended upon to furnish material for supplying quartz mills, not only for this Company but it is I expected for subsidiary companies also. The Certificates of assays of nine separate sam- ples made by aRsaYflrR to the Government Mint at Paris and London, bhowed the following results of gold per ton:— 69,1 ounces; 2- ounces; 2, ounces; 9 69} ounces; 2t. ounces; 2ounces; 9 ounces 12 d.-tR.; IS ounces; 3 ounces 17 dwts.; 3 ounces 10 dwts.; 19 dwls. 7 grs.; 19 dwts. 7 grs. The first object of this Company will be the erection of a quartz strmp mill, with all modern appliances to work the large quantity of ore referred to as being on the ground ready for immediate treatment and the reserves ready for extraction. Mr Pascoe, who has recently examined the property says, -1 It is safe to estimate that there are in sight at present 3,000 tons of quartz, worth at the lowest estimate 21 ounces (P8 15s) per ton." It is believed, therefore, that from the mill alone, independent of the profits to be realised from sales of reefs to other companies, when opened, or from working and washing the alluvial deposits, large dividends can scarcely fail to be obtained. I Copietof the Prospectus and Reports and Forms of Applicalion. for Subscription can be obtained at the Offices of4he Company, or from the Bankers, or BoUcitur of fjie Company. 2110 1710UND, on the 7th inst., in Bangor, a GOLD .f1 WATCH.—Apply to Thomas .Evans, 7, St. Pauls'.terrace, Baugor. 2108 PAISLEY SHAWL, taken by Mistake from Masonic Hall, on Wednesday Evening.
