BRECON MARKETS BILL. I This Bill was before a committee of tho Houbo of CommoDe on Thursday, Mr. Stai.sfeld in the chair. Mr. G. Somerset appeared in support of the Bill and Sir Mordaunt Wells, who repre- sented tho corporation of Brecon, in opposition, said that since the sitting of the committee on Wednesday terms had been a red upon. It waa V'ropot ed that a gentleman to to nominated by the Lccsi Government Board should go down t? lirtccn and inspect the buildings of the market ccnipaiiy erocted for use as slaughter-houses. If that gentleman gave a certificate that the build- ings were satiftactory, the corporation would license them. Mr. Somerset agreed to this pro- posal, and the committee passed the preamblo of tho Bill. The clau^cs were sottlod by the agents' and the proceedings terminated.
