PRIZE DISTRIBUTION. — The annual prize distribution in connection with High-street Boys' School was held at the Bethesda Chapel on Friday evening last, when the spacious building was comfortably filled by the prize winners and parents. The Rev T. Pandy John, chairman of the Education Committee, presided, and was supported by Coun- cillor D. Morgan. The Chairman, in his address, dwelt at length on the importance of regular attendance at school, both from the point of view of educational advancement, and also from pecuniary considerations in the way of increased grants. The prizes were distributed by Mrs G. H. Burnett, who addressed a kindly word to each recipient as he came to the platform to receive his award Daring the evening selections were given by the Boys' String Band, under the able con- ductorship of Mr W. M. Williams, and school songs by the upper boys. Master Archie John contributed a violin solo, and Master Arthur Bartram, an old High street boy, a cornet solo, both being executed in a creditable manner. At the close a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mrs Burnett for her kindness in distributing the prizes.
