SWANSEA, Fin DAY, Sept. 27. [c:J> The circular letter of instructions relating to the Ad- ditional Force Act, too late for insertion this week; It shall appear in our next. The foreign journals at length begin to speak of the preparations for war on the continent ia a less ambiguous manner, and the near approach of the Austriku and-French troops, will, 'no doubt, very shortly produce the long expected collision. A beautiful J}rig was launched at Carmarthen c;n Wednesday evening by Mr. Hughes, merchant, of that town, "named" Mary' Ann, 'alter his youngest daughter. At seven o'clock she went down, and took the water in a very majestic style, amidst the acclamations of an immense crowd of spectators. Mr. Hughes with about 70 or 30 of his friends af- terwards sat down to an elegant supper, furnished with evejy delicacy the season could afford. A nümberot patriotic songs andtoa.sts enlivened the remainder of the night till twelve o'clock, when (he company retired, highly deligh'ted.with the libera- lity and attention of their beneficent host, A Iliii-road is now at work on a new principle, belonging to the Penclawdd Copper-works, said to be invented by Mr. Thom'as'Jones. Its capability of obviating friction renders it much superior to those in general use. The construction is that of fn -edge rail, a yard 1 of which is nearly one half as hgh t: as those now made, and ith.ts been found capable of carrying the usual weight required. Too much cannot be said in praise or the landa- btR institution oî Sunday Schools, the good effects ( ot which become every day more visible, .particu- larly in the neighbourhood of large manufactories. and it affords us the truest pleasure to view the gradual increase of these institutions in the: cipality. At Llaneliy in Carmarthenshire, a scjiool has lately been established, in which nearly .one hundred and fifty-.young persons of both sexes rs- ceive the. rudiments of useful klJPwledge.
