Wl)e Jlate r. genes, IMPRESSIVE FUNERAL AT LLANRWST. The funeral of the late Dr. T. E. Jones, J.P., of Henar, Llanrwst, the account of whose death appealed in our last issue, took place on Satur- day afternoon at St. Mary's Church. The service at the house and at the graveside was conducted by the Rev. John Morgan (Rec- tor), whilst at the Church the Revs. J. Titley Williams, Thomas Roberts, and J. D. Davies officiated. The procession from the house was led by the magistrates, of whom there were the following:—Mr O. Isgoed Jones, Mr L. W. Jelf-Petit, Mr W. B. Halhed, Mr John Black- wall, Mr W. J. Williams, Mr Edward Mills, Mr E. Jones Owen, Mr H. J. W. Watling. Then followed Dr. J. W. Owen (Llanrwst), Dr. Lloyd Roberts (Colwyn, Bay), and Dr. Clifton Hughes (LLanfairfechan). The clergy present included the Revs. John Morgan., J. Titley Williams, Thomas Roberts, and J. D. Davies. The Magis- trates' Clerk, Mr C. T. Allard, was also present. Then followed twelve members of the GLan Geir- donydd Brotherhood, for which the deceased had acted as medical adviser for many years. The hearse was followed by the chief mourners, Dr. A. Thompson Hill and Dr. S. Rees (nephews), Misses Bessie and Annie Hill (nieces), Mrs Evans, Festiniog, and Miss Roberts, Trefriw (cousins). Amongst the general mourners we no- ticed Rev. J. 1. Farr, Mr G. W. Tinsley Pennant, Mr J. E. Humphreys, Mr A. Lloyd Griffith, Mr T. Latimer Jones, Mr McFarlane, Mr E. P. Hughes, Mr J. Council Smith, Mr T. Rogers Jones, Mr J. P. Faichney, Mr J. R. Williams, Mr Evans Jones, Mrs Hargreaves, Mrs Black- wall, Mrs Moulsdale, Miss Winnie Halhed, and others. The bearers were Messrs D. Ellis, William Jones. Robert Jones, J. Owen Jones, Cadwaladr Grffiths, and Kershaw. WE, THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD, having received and duly considered an application from the Rural District of Conway under Section 4 of the Private Street Works Act, 1892, for the issue of an Order putting in force in the contributory place of Llysfaen, in their District, so far as regards parts of certain streets, certain provisions of that Act as herein-after mentioned, do hereby Declare and Order as follows :— ARTICLE I.-Until We by Order otherwise direct, the provisions of the Private Street Works Act, 1892, except so far as they relate to the sewering of streets, shall be in force in the said contributory place so far as regards the parts of streets herein- after described and the said Rural District Council shall, except as aforesaid, be invested with all the powers, rights, duties, capacities, liabilities, and obligations which an Urban District Council may, by the adoption of the said Act, acquire, under those provisions, in the said contributory place, so far as regards the said parts of streets that is to say- So much of Cadwgan Street as is situate with- in the said contributory place So much of Cadwgan Road as is situate with- in the said contributory place So much of Wellington Road as is situate within the said contributory place; Bodelwyddan Avenue throughout its existing extent as measured from its junction with the main road leading to Abergele to a point distant 840 feet or thereabouts So much of Bodelwyddan Avenue West as extents for a distance of 310 feet or there- abouts from its junction with Bodelwyddan Avenue; and So much of Meiriadog Road as extend for a distance of 420 feet or thereabouts from its junction with the main road to Abergele. 1 ,1.5: H.The expenses incurred or payable by RaiCouncil in the execution of the powers conferred upon them by Article I. of this Order, except so far as those expenses may relate to their Establishment or Officers, shall be Special Expenses within the meaning of the Public Health Act, 1875, chargeable upon the said contributory place. ARTICLE III.—This Order shall come into oper- ation on the Twenty-ninth day of November, One thousand nine hundred and nine, and the said Rural District Council shall cause it to be published once in some newspaper circulated with- in their District before that date.
