John Roberts, Owen Glyndwr Hotel, Cor- wen, was charged with exceeding the maxi- mum price of beer. Failing to exhibit a list of prices and with having whiskey on Sale in a private bar that was not on sale in a public bar. LLAWR-Y-BETTWS. Harvest.—The annual Harvest Festival was held at the Parish Church commencing Tuesday evening, Oct. 28th,. and continued on the following day. Powerfnl and inspiring sermons were preached by the Rev. T., D. James. LlanerIvl and Rural Dean of Caer- einion, to large congregatiobs especially in the evening. The Services were conducted by the Rev. D. Williams, Curate of Corwen, Rev —Williams, Dinmael, and Rev. D. Felix, Rector of Lki for Mrs Pierce Jones and Miss D Hughes presided alternately. at the organ. The Church was decorated by the lady members of the Church. 1_ j

Mr. -T 0 Francis, in the November "Welsh Out o k," gives another interesting chapter of the series entitled A Vagrant by the Dee," in which he has some interesting remarks of his experiences in Corwen and District during Eisteddfod week. Evening Classes.—We desire to draw the attention of our reeders to the advertisement and time-table of these Classes, which com- mence today. We sincerely hope the classes will be well attended by all persons above the age of 14 years, as attendance at continuation classes will be compulsory at an early date. It is hoped that employers will give facilities to their employees to attend. If these classes be successful, or a demand expressed for other subjects, arrangements will be made to meet the wishes of the district.
