"In accordance with the Resolution passed at the Special Meeting of Shareholders on the 27th April last, the Bank was registered on let July last, under the Act of 1870, as a Bank with Limited Liability, with a total Capital of X2,400,000, in sixty thousand Shares of X40 each, of which fifty thousand have been issued and are now held by the Proprietors. On these 50,000 Shares £10 per Share have been paid up, and this amount constitutes the paid-up Capital of £ 500,000.
