THE ART TREASURES EXHIBITION OF 1876, AT WREXHAM. YNDER THE PATRONAGE OF HER MAJESTY THE QUEEZT. THIS Exhibition having failed to attract sufficient popular support in a year of un- exampled depression in trade, ended, as is now generally known, in a deficit of JE4300. Notwithstanding the most strenuous exertions on the part of those connected with its manage- IC !f to make it financially as successful as it was admitted to be in every otherpoint of view, the Com- jnittee failed and as they failed in a cause which jtMntC commend itself to all lovers of Art, as well as to those who wish to elevate and improve the taste of the people, it has been determined to make a public appeal for the liquidation of the amount still owing-after deducting the large sums pro- mised by the Duke of Westminster (2000) and by Mr Cornwallis West ( £ 500)—which is in round numbers, £1800. About £ 300 of this has, however, been promised; amd it is confidently expected that the remainder will Moon be raised in the different localities from which contributions to the Exhibition were re- ceived. Subscriptions will be received by the Honorary Secretaries, or by the Collectow appointed by tkern. COMMITTEE. His Grace the Duke of Westminster, Sir W. W. Wynn, Bart., M.P.; Sir R. A. JOHN HENRY ROBERTS (PENCERDD GWYNEDD), Pupil of the late Sir W. Sterndale Bennett, Mus. Doc., M.A., D.C.L., Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, London Local Examiner, (by appointment) of intending candidates to the Royal Academy; holds a "first class diploma" from the Committee of Management of the Royal Academy, London; Composer of the Prize in Musical Composition, Cantata—" The Gorsedd Ode" at the Bangor Royal Eisteddfod, awarded Twenty Guineas and Gold Medal, and several other important works. THE necessity for a preparatory school of music has long been felt in North Wales, as we -i- have had ample proof of rare musical genius in the country, there being no institution, where talent could be developed and prepared for the highest training possible at the Royal Academy of Music, the National Training School in London, and on the Continent for the several conservatories there,-we hope that this institution will have a share in encouraging the study of music in the Principality. As the gift of musical genius is found in all grades of society, and frequently among persons of every limited means, great care is taken that no extra expense is incurred, save for what will be truly necessary for their advancement in the art, which is very important to committees forming for the purpose of aiding such talents. THE BRANCHES TAUGHT INCLUDE: » PIANOFORTE, HARMONIUM, ORGAN, SINGING, HARMONY, COMPOSITION, Applications for admission to the Training School of Music to be made to MR. A eov E 't"AS CONSISTING of Quinine and the active principles J of Sarsaparilla, SaiFron, Lavender, Burdock, Liverwort, Gentian, &e., prepared, scientifically in the proportions, most desirable to ensure its perfect success. The great object of the Quinine Bitters" is to set in order the main springs (as itwere) of the mechanism of the body, and to remove the various causes which prsduce such painful effects in the human system. They assist digestion, promote and facilitate circula- tion, strengthen the nerves and muscles, purify the blood, brace up the system in short, bring the whole body into a sound and healthy condition. Being gifted with highly tonic and digestive properties, they are specially recommended as an effective cure for depression or spirits, sensation, of sinking in the stomach, bilious liead-achea, nerroua relaxation, muscular weaknes, wasting of the tissues, disturbed sleep, heartburn, cramp, pain in the stomach, &o. For all affections of the chest, such as hoarseness, cough, spitting of blood, asthma, &c., their effect is acknowledged and appreciated by those who have tried them. Tliis remedy does not injure the teeth, as it is oomposed exclusively of ingredients of a vegetable character, the action of which on the human system is mild but efficient, and adapted to all ages, from the infant to the adult, and to every variety of temperament and constitution. They can in noway injure the stomach; and the benefits derived from their use is not the result of a temporary and injurious stimulant of the digestive organs, but they effect a radical a*d lasting cure, by restoring the normal functions of the stomach, and acting in consort with nature to expel disease. Experiment will serve to establish it as a household remedy. As the Quinine Bitters" act on the constitution generally, the patient is cautioned not to be too sanguine of immediate success, and the patentee does not profess that they act in a miraculous manner," or that the first dose cures," or in ten minutes," &c., asmay be often seeu advertised but they will, after a fair and continued trial, show their beneficial effects, if taken in hme. The 4s 6d bottles contain as much as two 2s 9d bottles, thereby the purchaser.may save a shilling. To be had of all first-class Chemists, or direct from MR.
