RIVAL CODES. Swans and Whitas at Home. RECORD-HOLDERS VISIT. I 1 ra-woRRows PRINCIPAL GAMES. RUGBY. Swansea v. Gloucester. I Cardiff v. iN(-ath.. I Llanelly v. Aberavon. i ASSOCIATION. I I Swansea iowTi v. Brighton and Hove. I ) Bristol City Res. v. Swansea Town Res. I I Ton Pentre v. Llanelly. I (By PENDRAGON.") i Two important Swansea games will clash to-morrow, for while Brighton and Hove are due at the Vetch Field, Glou- cester will take to St. Helens an unbeaten certificate. The clashing of interests is, I hear, quite unavoidable. Next week a remarkable state of affairs will exist, for both the Swans and the All Whites will he at Newport the same afternoon. It ought to be explained that tHe Swansro, Rugby secretary (Mr. W. Griffiths) tried to get the date altered, but Newport could not agree with a re-arrangement. Brighton and Hove occupy a lowly posi- tion in the Southern League Table, and Swansea Town ought to be able to beat them. The coining of the Gloucester Rugby XV. is an event of interest for two reasons. First of all they have a re- cord; secondly, they will be the first Eng- lish visitors Swansea have had this sea- son. Last week they severely defeated Cardiff, and the week before they proved too good for Bristol. Wo ought, there- fore, to find them stronger than usual. THE HALF-BACK DIFFICULTY. I I This season the All Whites have been I slower than usual in settling down. This ] I is nothing very surprising, because the big gap created by the war, and the re- s tirement of gome of the older school, has made it necessary to experiment. Our | threo-quavters are all youngsters with the exception of the captain (Howel Lewis), and we have a new full-back and come new forwards. The great problem, however, is the fitting of the int-ida lialf tion. The failure of W. GrifiUIis led to an invitation being extended to ;rim Rappy to re-appear. He would have placed last Saturday had it not been for a cold. Griffiths has this week been left out, but for the moment the name of his successor is doubtful. The new man will probably be Mog Rees, of Amman' United; but there is another good 6erum worker in the running in the person oi Mason, of liayclirfe. TEAMS FOR SATURDAY. I ASSOCIATION. The Swansea Tramways Depot A.F.C. visited Ammanford on Thursday after- noon. when It friendly gamp was played with the local team on the Recreation Grounc)..An interesting encounter re- sulted in the Ammanford team, who arc now right on top form, winning by 3—1. The scorers for the winners were Tn-ist I (capt.). rarrott and Freeman. WELSH LEAGUE.—DIVISION I. Pontypridd 0. Swansea Town 3. Playing at home on Thursday the Dragons" lost to Swansea by three clear goals, the scorers being Ball (2) and Thomas. The home half-backs put up a fine show, but the forward-s failed to make the best use of their chance?. The Swansea forwards were faster, and their long passing proved very effective. Ponty- pridd did better after changing over, Millward the outside left sending in some i beautiful centres. The defence of inic- kolas, in particular, was very good. He is now ten months and weighs 19t lbs. I attribute this wonderful progress to Virol. In addition to this gain he has eight teeth and has given no trouble with them, for this also we praise Virol. Yours truly, (Signed) A. CLARK. Virot is used in large quantities in more than 2.000 Hospitals and Infant Clinics It is invaluable for the expectant and nursing mother herself, whilst for chil- dren it supplies those vital principles that are destroyed in the sterilising of milk; it is also a bone and tissue-building Ij food of iinmense value.
